Online collaborative performance in group-based tasks among learners of higher education

Collaborative skills have been perceived as the most important by learners, instructors, and employers alike in comparison to communication entrepreneurial skills. Despite its significant role workplace, many find that working together with others may complicate tasks due limited background knowledge problems social dynamics. There has not a single assessment created assess online collaboration an integrated performance during group-based tasks. The present study, therefore, attempts examine learners’ collaborative dimensions contributing effective at tertiary level. A mixed-method research design was adopted using surveys interviews. number of 508 undergraduates from local universities were given questionnaire inquiring about their behaviour group work, while 30 them interviewed. findings indicated tools technological facilities category rated highest performance, whereas sharing responsibilities team also correlation between Interview responses showed learners agreed good communication, clear goals, commitment elements for successful collaboration. potential enhance students’ learning is demanding educators alike.
